So as I said in my last blog, I kept the best for last!
Haulover Bay is located on the very east end of St. John past Coral Bay. It’s a bit of a drive, about 40 minutes, from Cruz Bay (the west end of St. John) but so worth it! Crazy how the island is only 9 miles long from end to end but with all the steep hills and switchback curves you have to take it slow. And so why not just enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way!

Once you reach Haulover, there is only street parking but since few people even venture there you can usually get a spot. You will see a beach to the south which is south Haulover which has decent snorkeling but where you will find the most incredible underwater beauty is taking a small path to north Haulover.

You will need swim shoes if you don’t use fins (like me) to enter the narrow, rocky path into the water. Then you will encounter an underwater paradise! Get ready for the photo dump 🤗 Can you find the stingray?

And my absolute favorite picture which I wish I could paint:

Everyone….if you ever have the opportunity to come to St. John, please snorkel the north side of Haulover!!! Pictures are great but to experience it live is something you will always remember and cherish!
