Weird Things

So something I have not addressed in my blog is some of the very unusual and weird things I have seen on St. John. This blog is going to be more a series of pictures with some explanations and others need no explanation. (Anyone reading this that lives on St John, do not worry, I do not have any pictures of Greenie. I believe that is something to be experienced 😬)

First, is a trip to the grocery store. On St. John there are 4 grocery stores. Three in Cruz Bay and one in Coral Bay at the other end of the island. Three out of the four are owned by the same company so prices tend to be the same.

Plus the meaning of patience island….

Lines are incredibly long while checkout clerks talk to each other without a care in the world😂
There isn’t a golf course on St. John so this is a once a year mini-golf tournament (costumes encouraged)
Great idea that is actually happening

Things found at the beach….

Things found along the roads….

Whoops! This often happens because visitors are not used to driving on the left especially on narrow roads

And my favorite, the stop signs….

Everyone try and make it a great week! See you next Tuesday!

Hi, I’m Rose. I am a single dental hygienist with grown children who lives/works part time in the States and part time on St. John, US Virgin Islands. I also love to travel. I would have stories about things that would happen either on St John or the various places I’ve visited. Many of my stories would be about unusual things that people in the states are not used to and some where a picture painted a thousand words. So when my friends encouraged me to write a blog, I was hesitant. Would anyone read it? The advice given: those who care will read it and those who do not care, don’t worry about. Here’s my blog for those who care to know me a little better and sometimes get a good laugh or just want to see what island life is all about.
